It all started on the Friday 11th June and (my buddy reader) Milla from Room 5 wanted to make the drains attractive and colourful. So Mrs. Horn, a couple of Year 2s from Room 5; Hannah, Mahin, Nicholas and of course, Milla; and Zoe and I from Room 1 started to talk about what we wanted to draw and with what colours. I went to the Room 4's drain with Hannah and Milla with some chalk to draw with while Zoe stayed at the Room 5's drain with the boys.
Soon, ideas started to bubble up and explode everywhere as there were lots of drawings. After a while, we had two lovely, colourful drains. We did 3 more drains on Friday 18th June. Teal and I painted a 3D hole around the old, metal circle at Room 4. Madeline, Brianna and Emma painted Room 2's drain with sea creatures and a group of Room 2 students did the drain beside the hall with a scene of Rangitoto Island. Our school will look more wonderful when we finish all the drains!
