Weather Poetry

Winter Wonderland

Howling winds,
Shadowy clouds
Exploding snow and hail.

People made of snow guard the roadside,
Skidding cars on ice.
School closed.

Sledding on the ice.
Sledding down the steps,
Having an excellent time.

Star shapes falling from the sky,
Cars crawl at slow speed.

Skiing competitions,
Bob-sledding around corners,
People chucking balls of snow.

Winter wonderland.

Weather Poetry

Stormy Storm

Clouds gathering - very black,
Wind's already up to 120.
House's windows getting battered,
Doors slamming closed.
Thunder booming, wind is howling.
Kids screaming like mad.
Parents fists are clenched,
Their patience is wearing thin.
Waiting for the storm to end.
